I have just booked a trip to Shanghai. I will go there to observe how the discussion about "whether to wear pyjamas in public or not" actually has affected people in Shanghai.
Shanghai Government requested residents of the city not to wear pyajamas in public prior to the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, with the slogan “No Pyjamas in Public, Be Civilised for the Expo”. Volunteers have started persuasion teams trying to dissuade the residents they see in pyjamas from going out like that. This has triggered nationwide debate. The fair ends in september, but I will be there before hoping to still see some proud people in pyjamas.
The swedish TV-program Kobra talked about death and how death is commerialised. They mention the project "A dress for death". See the program here.
